Hi and welcome - I'm Kate

I'm happily married to Grant and we have two grown up daughters.

I truly enjoy being a celebrant because I love working closely with people.  I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life.  I like to make you feel relaxed, and my professional approach will guide you through this time of grief.

My journey began when a friend asked me to officiate at her mother's  memorial, it brought me an unexpected sense of fulfilment, and that moment set me on the path I am on today.

I'm dedicated to providing compassionate, personalised end of life, and funeral celebrant services across the Nelson/Tasman region.  

I understand how important it is to honour your loved ones with a service that genuinely reflects their life  -  their legacy. 

Coping with grief while trying to organise a ceremony can be ovewhelming - and that's where I step in,  helping to ease the stress and guide you through the process with care.

My approach is grounded in empathy, respect and attention to detail. Clear communication and strong listening skills ensure I can create a meaningful, memorable tribute that feels true to your loved one.

There are many options for your loved one's end of life choices.

After meeting with your chosen Funeral house to arrange the finer details then together we can create a plan for what type of ceremony  feels right for you, by listening to your wishes I will honour your shared memories. 

It will be my honour to craft a ceremony that is complete and will be personal and meaningful for you and your loved one.

Choosing photo's with family and friends can bring forward beautiful memories and it will help you weave these into a service in a thoughtful way.

Crafting heartfelt and personalised eulogies / life stories that capture the essence of your loved one's life.  We will meet and will chat about all the meaningful history of your loved one, we can talk about music arrangements, photo tributes, favourite pastimes  - anything that you would like in a tribute.

Venue arrangements

 

Arranging a unique and fitting venue setting to honour your loved one's memory.  If you need some help with finding the right venue - I will encourage and help you find the place that is right for you. 

 

A celebration of your life before you go !

In this day and age - many people with a terminal illness are choosing to celebrate with friends and family before they die.
‍If you wish to have a conversation about this in advance - I can help with arrangements.
A gathering with friends and family  before your death - is also called a living wake.

Pet goodbyes

 

Our pets mean the world to us, and when they leave it can be such an emotional, upsetting and draining time.

I can help you with anything you would like organised to help with the departure of your loved fur baby.
